Safety & Consideration Guidlines
|
For all Programs
Any member of Neal Productions' staff or any parental chaperone that volunteers through Neal Productions, is NOT to be left to attend to any child who needs supervision, needs medical assistance, or discusses personal social problems. WE ARE PERFORMERS/INSTRUCTORS NOT CHILD CARE PROVIDERS NOR MEDICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS.
A child should NEVER be left alone with an adult that is not responsible for them. There shouldn't be any need for anyone from our company, either volunteer or employee, to be left alone with a child. One of the child care providers, or the child's parent should be present, or very near, when a child is speaking alone with a Neal Productions affiliate. Our affiliates can NEVER take a child to the bathroom, or into any room where both of them cannot be seen or heard by others.
To maintain a proper and secure environment, we ask that any private adult conversations, with those who are affiliated with Neal Productions, be in a location where both parties can be physically seen and heard if their voices are raised, or there are more than two people in the room. We understand and repect the privacy of others, but we at Neal Productions want to do our utmost to keep our relationships on a trustworthy, professional level. Honesty and discretion are the basis of our business, therefore we request that anyone who is affiliated with our company, either by employment or volunteering, please abide by these guidlines.
Parents and teachers must inform their children that Neal Productions is going to "be in charge" for the time that the event is going on, and that they must listen to us. We reserve the right to stop the event at any point and return the class to the teacher if there is any discipline problems not immediately addressed by the responsible parties. Our responsibility is not to teach discipline, and we will not tolerate abuse (verbal or otherwise) from any facility or anyone present at our events.
Day Camps, Performances, and Workshops
Children should be monitored at all times by qualified adults, but it will be the responsibility of the parent(s) or teacher(s) to ensure the children understand the rules and obey them.
We reserve the right to "suspend" or remove any child who breaks the rules, and/or endangers themselves, or the other children.
For adults we, reserve the same right to ask them to leave if anyone causes trouble or endangers the other participants. If the offending party refuses to leave, the authorities will be called. We wish to make our workshops fun and educational for all, and anyone disrupting the learning process obviously doesn't want to be there. If a person is asked to leave, they may not return and they will not received a refund.
Programs that require us to travel.
Due to the fluctuating fuel costs, we may require an additional (but small) fee to cover the cost of our gasoline. We will inform our clients of this before they schedule an event.
We understand that it is very important to keep the children safe, and therefore require the host facility to provide supervision of the children at all times.
For obvious safety issues (i.e. possible electrical shock, or other possible accidental factors), the host facility is responsible for keeping the children away from our stage, or any of our equipment.
Performances at a central location
(other than our facility)
Any central event must have parents or teachers from each school cooperating as chaparones for their children.
The host facility must be safe, clean, and have working, adequate restroom facilities. It must be large enough for the participants to be comfortably seated, or to move around. For small groups, a school classroom that will enable the students to stand in a circle with their arms extended, would be best. For large groups, a gym or auditorium would be the ideal place to have an event.
No one is to touch or come near our stage or equipment. Parents/teachers please keep the children away from these things to prevent them from harming themselves, others, or damaging our property.
Any damage caused by a child or someone unauthorized to handle our equipment and props, will result in the responsible party or host facility replacing the damaged goods. If the responsible party refuses to replace the damaged goods, the matter may be handled in a court of law.
Note: Neal Productions can not recruit chaparones or qualified child care providers for any of its events.
Consultations & Special Events
Consultations should be done in a professional environment, not in a private home or setting where one member of Neal Productions' staff is completely alone with a client in a non-public, isolated area.
There is a fee for our consultations. If you decide not to use our services, we will charge you for the consultation only. Any other monies collected (i.e. deposits) will be refunded after that fee is taken out.
For special events, all the rules above apply for each host facility or responsible party.
Special Events include:
*Parties for holidays, birthdays, church groups, civic gatherings, the office, etc.
*Dramatic Presentations
*Charitable functions
*Vacation Bible School
*Summer Camps
*Outdoor Events

Refunds/ Cancellations
|
We do not offer refunds once the camps/workshops have started, or by the date specified on the registration form.
If an event must be cancelled, it must be done within 3 days (72 hours) of the program, or we cannot refund the deposit.
If a child is suspended or removed from one of our programs, for any reason, we cannot refund their money.
In the event Neal Productions must cancel an event, we will reschedule another date and time. If that is not possible, a full refund will be given.
Deposits for special events will not be refunded if it is cancelled due to any unreasonable excuse, nor can we be responsible for an act of God suddenly prohibiting the event. We reserve the right to determine the legitimacy of the reasons for cancellation, and will base any refund upon that determination. If we determine the cancellation is justified, we will keep our consultation fees and any other expenses incurred, and refund the remainder of the deposit and/or payment.
